RENTAL TERMS

1. Good-Faith Agreement

This rental relationship is entered into in good faith and mutual trust. We aim to help customers access working laundry equipment at an affordable monthly cost while operating responsibly and transparently.

2. Equipment Ownership

All washers and dryers provided remain the sole property of Jackson Appliance Rentals at all times.
The equipment is rented, not sold.

3. Equipment Condition

  • Units are not brand new

  • Most machines are previous-generation residential models selected for durability and reliability

  • Units may show normal cosmetic wear

  • All equipment is inspected and tested before delivery

If a unit stops working due to normal use, it will be replaced, not repaired.

4. Monthly Payments & Billing

  • Rental fees are billed monthly

  • Automatic billing is required

  • A valid payment method must remain on file

  • Cash and checks are not accepted

5. Late Payments & Grace Period

If a payment fails, a 7-day grace period is provided to bring the account current.

If payment is not made within the grace period:

  • Service may be suspended

  • Equipment may be scheduled for removal

6. Minimum Rental Term

All rentals include a minimum rental term of three (3) months.

Rental charges remain due for the full minimum term, even if service is canceled early.

7. Cancellation Policy

After the minimum term:

  • Rentals continue month-to-month

  • Cancellation requires 30 days written notice

  • Written notice may be provided by text message, email, or via the website form

  • Rental charges continue during the notice period

  • No refunds are provided for partial months

8. Delivery, Installation & Access

  • We will deliver and install the equipment at the approved address

  • Customer confirms that proper hookups are available and permitted

  • Customer agrees to provide reasonable access for:

    • Delivery

    • Replacement

    • Removal

Failure to provide access may result in continued billing or additional fees.

9. Proper Use & Care

Customers agree to:

  • Use the machines for normal household laundry only

  • Avoid overloading or misuse

  • Clean lint traps regularly

  • Follow basic care instructions

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or abuse is not considered normal wear and tear and may be billed.

10. Service & Replacements

  • We do not perform repairs

  • Units that stop working due to normal use will be replaced

  • Service requests must be submitted via the form on our website

  • Photos or videos may be required before scheduling replacement

Service timing:

  • Requests are typically acknowledged within 1 business day

  • Replacements are usually scheduled within 2–3 business days

11. Emergency Service

Emergency service is limited to safety-related issues, such as:

  • Active water leaks

  • Electrical burning smells

  • A unit that will not shut off

Non-emergency issues are handled during normal service scheduling.

12. Rental Packet

At delivery, customers will receive a Rental Packet that includes:

  • Contact information

  • How to request service

  • Basic care instructions

  • Payment and cancellation details

Customers agree to follow the instructions provided in the rental packet.

13. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Plumbing

  • Electrical outlets

  • Venting

  • Water supply

  • Existing home or apartment conditions

Jackson Appliance Rentals is not responsible for issues caused by property conditions outside the equipment itself.

14. Insurance Acknowledgment

Customers confirm that they maintain active renter’s insurance or homeowner’s insurance at the installation address.

Jackson Appliance Rentals does not provide insurance coverage for the customer’s home or personal property.

15. Loss, Theft, or Major Damage

Customers may be responsible for repair or replacement costs if equipment is:

  • Lost

  • Stolen

  • Intentionally damaged

  • Severely damaged beyond normal use

16. Removal of Equipment

Jackson Appliance Rentals may remove equipment if:

  • Payments remain unpaid after the grace period

  • This agreement is violated

  • Equipment is misused

  • Customer moves or loses permission to keep the equipment

Customers agree to provide access for removal when required.

17. Communication

  • Service requests must be submitted by text message

  • Phone calls are not required and may not receive immediate response

  • Written notices may be sent via text, email, or customer portal

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the equipment is installed.

19. Agreement

These terms represent the full agreement between Jackson Appliance Rentals and the customer regarding equipment rental.
